About your Founder and Teacher

At Body Riches Massage School, we believe learning massage is about more than mastering techniques. It is about developing confidence in your hands, understanding the body and discovering the extraordinary power of intentional touch.

Led by Gay Riches, our hands-on massage training is welcoming, practical and grounded in more than 30 years of teaching and clinical experience. Whether you are a complete beginner, an experienced therapist wanting to expand your skills or simply drawn to learning massage, you will be supported to learn at your own pace, connect with your natural intuition and develop skills you can carry with you for life.

Gay Riches founder and Director of the Body Riches Massage School

With Bella the wonder dog

Gay’s journey with massage began more than 30 years ago, when she completed her initial Remedial Massage training at Perth’s first natural therapies college. It was there that her passion for massage was ignited and a lifelong journey of learning, practising and teaching began.

Over the years,

Gay has continued to expand her knowledge across a wide range of massage styles and healing modalities. She believes that the more skills a therapist has in their toolkit, the more confidently they can tailor each treatment to the individual needs of the person in front of them.

Gay’s training includes Remedial Massage, Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Movement Release Therapy, Aromatherapy, Reiki, Myofascial Cupping, Pregnancy Massage and Hot Stone Massage.

For more than 30 years, Gay has been teaching hands-on certificate massage training to beginners, practising therapists and anyone with a genuine interest in the healing power of touch.

Her teaching style is warm, practical and deeply grounded in real-world experience.

She creates a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, practising new techniques and developing confidence in their own hands.

Gay believes that learning massage is about much more than memorising a sequence. It is about developing presence, understanding how the body responds to touch and learning to listen through your hands.

Her training encourages students to work intuitively while building strong, safe and effective practical skills.

Whether someone is exploring massage for the first time, hoping to support family and friends, adding new techniques to an existing practice or considering a professional pathway,

Gay meets each student where they are. Her greatest joy is watching people discover their natural ability, grow in confidence and leave feeling inspired to continue their own journey with massage.

A Lifetime of Learning,

A Passion for Teaching
